About Us

The Floreat Toy Library is a not for profit community organisation that provides access to a wide range of toys for children of member families.

We are open Saturdays

9:00am until 10:30am.

During the school term.

(Due to improvements to the building by the Nedlands Council, the Toy Library is currently closed until Term 2, 2021.)

We are run by a committee of volunteers and the support of member families.

Our Toy Library is a great way to:

  • Try out new toys before you buy.

  • Save money on toys that children quickly outgrow.

  • Provide access to great variety of good quality toys suitable for your child needs

  • Meet families in surrounding areas with children of a similar age & be a part of your community

  • Help the environment and reduce landfill buy sharing than buying them.

  • Save space by not having to store large or multiple toys.

Membership Fees:

$80 for a 12 month membership.

Toys can be borrowed for up to three weeks.

Members may borrow:

4 items plus a puzzle, for 1 child

5 items plus a puzzle, for 2 children

6 items plus a puzzle, for 3 or more children

Fines will apply for late returns –

50c per toy for 1 week overdue,

$1 per toy for 2 weeks overdue,

$1.50 per toy for 3 weeks overdue etc.

Members are responsible for ensuring that all pieces are present at the time of the loan and on return. A fine of $2 applies for missing pieces. Members may be asked to replace any toy rendered unusable through damage or loss.

Members are required to participate in:

  • a roster to assist the Supervisor on Saturday mornings;

  • and a stocktake during the year.
